Another day, another ICE-involved shooting. Only this time, the victim of ICE-IS Terrorism was an unarmed Austin DoorDasher shot in the back. Sadly, this tragedy hits a little too close to home since some of my closest friends are DoorDash Customers… who get irrationally hangry when their food is on time… LET ALONE splattered in stranger-blood. Thankfully, the young delivery man survived the shooting, so any thoughts and prayers should be focused on his still-pending tip. Although if it’s anything like pain medication, the removal of the bullet, or basic medical care, it will also be denied. Meanwhile, the same people who left a bullet lodged in his neck still consider the measles vaccination a form of torture, despite resorting to lawlessness at the first sign a back-itch is physically unscratchable. As anyone who’s ever hired-a-hooker-to-pop-their-unreachable-backne, can pinky-promise YOU… not to tell anyone. Then again, I’ve been T-boned by an SUV, and if I knew getting shot in the back was an option, I would’ve never chosen: “exchange paperwork with Drift-and-Scroll Karen.” Talk about torture: that C-U-Next-T-bone put the “bored” in waterboarding.
